What a humanizer actually changes
Machine-written prose has recognizable habits. Sentences land at similar lengths. Transitions come from a small stock set — "moreover", "furthermore", "in conclusion". Hedging is applied evenly across claims that deserve different levels of confidence. Paragraphs repeat the same internal shape.
A good humanizer varies sentence rhythm, replaces stock connectives with ones that fit the argument, lets emphasis land unevenly, and leaves your claims and evidence alone. That produces prose that reads better to a human. Any effect on a classifier is downstream of that, not the mechanism.
