Verify the product and plan

Duey’s Free versus Pro help page documents the free extension and Pro typing. Its pricing page bundles Sessions, Auto Typer Pro, the humanizer, and the detector. A separate AutoTyper.ai extension also comes from the Duey team; see our AutoTyper.ai comparison for that specific listing.

The Duey-branded store listing showed version 3.3.4 and 60,000 users at our live check. Do not combine those figures with AutoTyper.ai’s separate listing.

What we could not resolve about background typing

Duey’s store description advertises background behavior, while its requirements help page tells users to keep the tab active and use Sessions when walking away. These may describe different modes or versions, but the public pages do not establish that distinction clearly enough to promise a result. Test your exact setup.

Separately, a cloud Session is a server job. It is not the same claim as a local extension continuing in an open background tab. The same distinction applies to Write It’s extension and Cloud Typer.

Compare the work around the typing

Write It’s auto typer sits alongside document feedback, selected-text editing, source discovery, and citation tools. If the content is already finished and you only need insertion, those extra workflows may not matter. If you repeatedly revise a draft against a rubric or check sources, evaluate that process as well as the typing controls.

Neither a rating nor a simulated rewrite proves that the tool will handle your formatting, document structure, and browser state correctly. Try the same short passage in a copy, pause and resume it, and inspect the final text. Record the mode and extension version so a later update does not turn an old observation into a permanent claim.

The advertised Duey annual total is $60, versus $96/year for Write It Plus. Monthly billing is a different commitment. Check the current checkout, what each plan includes, and whether you already have another tool that covers the additional writing features.
