A side hustle qualifies for this list only if it passes three checks: it uses equipment you already own, it pays you before you ever pay it, and it needs no inventory sitting in your room. That filter quietly removes dropshipping, print-on-demand ad budgets, resale that needs seed cash, and every course selling the dream of the other three.
Nine side hustles that pass
- Short product videos (UGC). Companies pay for casual, phone-shot videos about their products — no following required, and free editing apps are plenty. The one program we can quote exact numbers for is covered below.
- Tutoring the class you just aced. The course you got an A in last semester is a service someone two doors down will pay $15–$30/hour for. Your old notes are the prep.
- Pet sitting and dog walking. Zero equipment, recurring clients, and neighborhoods full of people who travel. Start with families who already know you; the apps can come later.

Earlier submissions keep their recorded rates, thresholds, caps and payment windows. The new rules apply only to new submissions.
