Write It: typing alongside the writing workflow
Write It’s free auto typer offers adjustable speed, corrections, and pause/resume. It supports Google Docs, Word on the web, and a lighter Slides workflow. Write It Max is included with Plus and Premium rather than sold separately. Free accounts get one Max run to try it. Plus costs $10/month or $96/year.
Choose it when the text still needs feedback, source work, or document edits as well as insertion. Cloud Typer is a separate Google Docs workflow with placement pins. An extension run still depends on the browser; do not assume that a background tab is a server job.
Write It’s live listing showed 4.9 out of 5 from 67 ratings at our check. A store rating is useful context, not proof of reliability in your document.
AutoTyper.ai: a separate focused extension
The AutoTyper.ai website advertises a free extension without an account, off-tab operation, multi-block placement, and AI chat side panels. Its store notes add Word Online support. The site identifies the team behind Duey, but this is a separate extension with separate ratings.

Duey: free typing, Pro controls, and Sessions
Duey’s Free versus Pro guide documents free typing in Docs, Slides, and Word Online, with measured tempo and draft/rewrite behavior in Pro. Duey also offers Sessions, a humanizer, and an AI detector. Our older roundup incorrectly described it as a plain typer without rewrites or a broader toolkit.
The pricing page lists Duey Pro at $9.99 monthly or $60 annually. Its help page says to keep the extension tab active, while the store advertises background behavior. We leave that conflict unresolved pending a hands-on check. Read the Duey comparison before choosing a plan.
Dripwriter: consider it for scheduled cloud typing
Dripwriter advertises scheduled typing into a new or existing Google Doc that continues while you are away. Compare its current free quota and paid access on the vendor site. Test these five things before a long run
- Use a disposable copy and a short passage you wrote; preserve the source text separately.
- Check that you have edit permission and that insertion starts at the intended location.
- Include the formatting you actually need, then compare the result with the source.
- Pause and resume; inspect the boundary for duplicate or missing words.
- Test tab switching separately from browser closure, and record the version and conditions.
