How to see all your assignments in Google Classroom
Every class, one list. Where Classroom’s To-do page is, what Assigned, Missing and Done mean, and a five-minute weekly check.

Most students check Classroom one class at a time, which is exactly how an assignment in your fifth class goes missing. Classroom already has one page that lists every assignment from every class. It is called To-do.
Where the To-do page is
On a computer
Go to classroom.google.com and click To-do in the menu on the left, or View to-dos on the homepage.
In the Classroom app
Tap the menu at the top and choose To-do.
For just one class
Open the class, go to Classwork, and choose View your work. You can filter by Assigned, Returned with grade or Missing.
What Assigned, Missing and Done mean
| Tab | What is in it | What to do with it |
|---|---|---|
| Assigned | Work with a due date that has not passed, or with no due date | This is your real to-do list. Start with what is due first. |
| Missing | Work past its due date that you did not turn in | Turn in what you can and ask about late credit. |
| Done | Work your teacher graded or returned | Check grades and private comments. |
Apollo is coming to iMessage
It reads Google Classroom and texts you before things are due. Join the waitlist to hear first.
Do not rely on the “Due soon” box
The Classroom homepage has a Due soon section that shows up to five upcoming assignments across your classes. It is fine for a quick look, but five is not your whole week. Use To-do for the real list.
A five-minute weekly check
Sunday: open Assigned
Look at everything due this week and next. Anything that takes more than an hour gets a start day.
Friday: open Missing
Turn in what you can, even late. Half an assignment usually beats a zero.
Once a month: open Done
Skim grades and comments for anything you should do differently on the next one.
Put the due dates on a calendar
Each class also has its own Google Calendar, and every assignment with a due date shows up there automatically. Open Google Calendar with your school account and they sit next to everything else in your week. To get alerts days ahead, see how to get Google Classroom reminders.
Or skip the checking
A list only works if you remember to look at it. Apollo, the AI from Write It, is coming to iMessage so you do not have to. Connect Google Classroom and it reads what is due and texts you first. Say yes and it gets the work done, with realistic typing and our humanizer built in.
Let Apollo keep track for you
